Due to the overwhelming support received from Beanies Legacy Fundraiser, held in July of 2021, CCD was able to purchase over 300 backpacks and folders for a collaborative community school-supply drive before the start of the new school year.
Throughout the month of August, CCD partnered with multiple community partners in donating a total of 500 backpacks and school supplies to local youth from various communities throughout Delaware. By joining forces with like-minded individuals from organizations such as Phoenix Used Clothing, Forget Me Not Families, and the Historic New Castle Hundred Lion's Club, our collaborative team effort helped supply local families in need with backpacks full of school supplies and necessary health items, such as facemasks.
These type of joint ventures help CCD live out our mission of collaborating with other organizations to help people succeed and we are so thankful for the support from our awesome community partners.
