Earlier today, a group of men and women from our CARE (Community Advocacy and Recovery Empowerment) Program had the opportunity to collaborate with the Trustees of New Castle Commons and volunteer at a local nature park.
During this time of community support, CARE participants picked out invasive weeds from a beautiful wildflower field, cleared some of the walking trails from fallen debris, and learned all about the history of the park during an educational nature trail walk. A big CCD thank you to Jim Meek of the Trustees of New Castle Commons for his guidance and knowledge of the land. We look forward to building upon this collaboration and continuing to do our part to help keep our local communities beautiful & healthy!
